MESSAGE FROM FR. PETER

Dear people of God,     We wish you to know that the clergy and congregation of St. Paul’s Truth or Consequences welcomes you to our congregation. As we begin a new calendar year and celebrate the Church Season’s we also desire to share in fellowship and our love of the Lord with you and one another. The ministry to which Christ calls us today is no less than his original calling of the twelve. I believe that we ought to view ourselves as the latest in a long line of those commissioned to propagate the Good News of the Gospel.

       We read that, Christ came to serve, not to be served, to give his life for the lives of others. We are called into that sort of communion. We are called to serve one another in his name, following his word and his will. To do otherwise is like trying to applaud using one hand, it does nothing it creates nothing.     We are created in the image and likeness of God, if so than we are to be about the business of creation, not destruction, we are to be engaged in service to and for others and not self-service.

    To that end, may I humbly invite you to join us as we worship and serve the Lord our God as we serve one another. May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, bless you in 2008.
